That's the power of art. Art is a bridge. It connects you to a wider world, to a broader experience." Art, music, dance; they all come together at Festival Dance and do just what Mr. Strickland describes, building bridges between people, ideas, and communities – connecting us to a wider world and a broader experience through the stories they tell, and above all, the arts bring hope to our lives.
When we immerse ourselves in the arts, it allows us to push back the darkness of the world a little and make room to breathe; to imagine a different and better world…to hope. And in those hope-filled moments, the reason to continue in the struggle becomes clear – that life holds many moments of beauty that are more powerful than fear or ignorance, that bring meaning, kindness, and joy to ourselves and the world we inhabit. We can dare to dream what is possible, instead of what is not. You can be a part of what we are doing through your gift to Idaho Gives |
