Moscow Downtown Trick-or-Treat
H a l l o w e e n    F L A S H    M O B !

With Halloween just around the corner, it's a spooktacular time to share one of our most beloved performance events for Motion Fever Performance Troupe--a Halloween flash mob! We are so happy to return to the festivities again this year, dancing to the theme of (drum roll please)--"Ghostbusters"! One of the most exciting things about this particular performance with Festival Dance, is that we would like to invite YOU, and your entire family, to join in the jam!
Orchestrated in tandem with the Moscow Chamber of Commerce, Motion Fever Performance Troupe will perform at Main Street and 5th, at 5pm on October 31st, directly amidst the Downtown Moscow Trick or Treat event. After a short performance by team members, dancers will invite crowd members into the square for a chorus section of choreography--which is where you come in and join in the dancing fun!

Please join us with the entire family to celebrate Halloween and show Motion Fever our support. No experience necessary ♥ We look forward to getting our boogie on with you!

Please help us support our wonderful teacher, Colleen, and the baby girl that she is expecting in early February.   Colleen's fiancee, Steve Pacatte, died unexpectedly in a motor vehicle collision, and we are collecting donations to help support her and their baby.

Steve was a loved and respected firefighter who worked for the San Francisco Fire Department for the past 3 years, most recently at Station 14.  Prior to this he worked for the Tiburon Fire District and Marin County Fire Department, and last month helped battle the Camp Fire in Butte County.   Steve was a graduate of Sacred Heart.  He was really excited about becoming a dad.  Our hearts go out to Colleen and Steve’s families.

This fundraiser is endorsed by Captain Frank Hsieh of Station 14, San Francisco Fire Department.

Nutcracker Auditions with Eugene Ballet

On Sunday, December 9, 2018, Festival Dance Academy will have the pleasure and honor of presenting Eugene Ballet’s lavish production of The Nutcracker at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman. An exciting part of this presentation is that the Eugene Ballet will select around 50 registered Festival Dance Academy ballet students ages 5 years old and up to take part in the production, and all our ballet students will have the opportunity to audition to be part of the performance! This is a unique offering to Festival dancers, and we’re very excited to be part of this magical holiday storytelling.

On Friday, September 28th, a professional dancer from the Eugene Ballet Company will travel to Moscow to hold auditions for registered Festival Dance Academy students ages 5 and up. Students must be 5 years old at the time of the audition. This is a Eugene Ballet Company policy and is not negotiable. Auditions will be held in Studio 212 of the Physical Education Building, and there is a $10.00 audition fee, which is payable by cash or check to Festival Dance at the audition.

Auditions for roles are held according to specific ages—please look over the audition schedule below very carefully to see which roles your dancer is eligible to audition for. Dancers should arrive 15 minutes early so that you can fill out an audition form, pay your audition fee, and receive an audition number
